A seasonal greeting

Can I be the first to wish all contributors, watchers and lurkers to this cracking forum a very
Merry Christmas and an Happy and Prosperous New Year! Thumbs Up
Special thanks to Martin for providing the site, to NPinks, Alex, and the other moderators for their tolerance and hard work in keeping everything generally in check. Bow down
Special greetings are reserved for CG as I enter another year hoping that he is the one who I am holding up with my summer home. Laughing
Cheers guys! Ralph

You Vanners are such an invidious assemblage in this the season of goodwill to all, including Stentorians.

Ralphk- in the sprit of the season, and, always being one to assist wherever and whenever I can I'll explain my light hearted quip. Originally you posted with a final witty flourish in the direction of Freel2.com's very own pastoral jester CG. My quip advocated that "Vanners" embrace (in this the season of goodwill) their jocular adversary CG who's postings have at times the hallmark of a stentorian.

Stentorian: the adjective derives from the name Stentor, the herald in Greek mythology who, according to Homer's Iliad, had a voice as loud as the voices of 50 men, i.e., as loud as all those clucking Chickens and crowing Cocks at CG's over which CG himself must raise his voice to be heard.

ps: Stentor died when he lost a shouting contest with Hermes, the herald of the gods. Now I've heard that the herald of the gods at CG's place is none other than SWMBO. Whistle [/i]
