Well my FL2 is at the LR dealer for it's 4th year 60k service. She is only on 41000 but serviced accordingly.

Just bought her home! All she needed was a rear wiperblade!

The technician stated that he has not seen a four year old Freelander 2 in such amazing condition inside and out! Apart from the front tyres being on the advisory list, she is perfect.

Would you be willing to give the cost as my 4th year service will be due in February. Also do you know if they changed all filters including oil i.e. diesel fuel filter, air filter, cabin pollen filter. I wonder if they also change the brake fluid. Thanks.

I think the brake fluid is on the 3 year service.

Here's what they did :-

Full 4 year/60,000 mile service

Oil Change
Oil Filter
Air filter
Pollen Filter
Fuel Filter
Filter Gasket

Adjust AUX drive belt
Fit new Rear Wiper blade
Check Brake Fluid

I can get a Disco's 2nd service for 330 incl VAT at main LR dealer! Booked in for next year, so 20% VAT too. Think people need to price match and haggle. Was quoted 260 incl VAT for FL2 without haggling, but not due until well into 2011.

some dealers still run the 3+ service scheme - £275 for an A service and £350 for a B service
any additional work is charged extra so brake fluid/pipes for example

All the parts you listed can be bought for £58 ( genuaine Land Rover) & 6lts of oil for £40 about 1hrs work to carry out service £300 labour. Don’t you just love main dealers

Which is why when my warranty is up it will never see a main dealer. In fact May do next service myself using genuine filters and oil and keep receipts as proof in order to maintain remainder of warranty. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
