What colour is yours?

Not been looking at LR2's for very long now but in my short time here and there it seems that Stornoway Grey is probably the most popular, but is that really the case?

Personally I'm looking at the Stonoway Grey or Izmir Blue.

Did you choose the colour you really wanted or did you have to suit someone else's taste as well, like I do?

Due to the limited number of options I could add to the Poll I missed off Whistler White unfortunately. Martin: added 29/Nov/07

It's strange how certain colours seem to be popular on certain cars - apart from ones which are generally fashionable, such as black. Take Discovery 3's for example, they really look good in silver, but then the downside to that is that you see so many in silver. That's why I kind of like the fact that Tambora Flame has been discontinued - it will keep it "rare" as FL2's become more common on the roads (though I realise it's not everyone's cup of tea).

Personally, I wish LR had been a bit more imaginitive with their colours; the options either seems to be pale (Izmir Blue, Nazca Sand etc) or dark (Baltic Blue, Rimini Red). Personally, I'd like to have seen a few more options in the middle, such as a straightforward pillar-box red or a nice metallic blue, something like MG's old Trophy Blue, or maybe even a G4 orange? Or are LR trying to market this as a more "serious" than "fun" car?

It would only let me put ten options in and as I was going through the sales guide White was the last in the list, so I had to miss it off......... Mr. Green

White is a strange one I find for me, as depending on the climate of the country where the car is will depend on if it can pull White off or not.....The lighting in hot countries appears to make a white car look really good, where as there are very few cars I like in the UK and here in Holland in White.......am I just wierd... Confused

Just about to order my FL2 XS Manual - I did like the Sam Black although it seems St Grey is the fav on this forum.

People with Sam Black - is it difficult to keep clean ? I have never owned a black car so not sure if every mark will show and I'll spend all my time cleaning the thing !

I had a metalic black Kia Sportage,

Hell on wheels to keep it clean, you may think black doesn't show dirt with it been dark, but it showed off the white residue from washing it if i didn't leather dry it, out of the sun.

St Grey is not too bad at keeping clean,

best colour car i have has was a met silver Vectra, road grime seemed to blend in, unless you looked too close

Black cars looking stunning when clean but .... they do show up all the muck and marks. Never take a black car thorugh a swirl-a-matic (automatic car wash) it will mark like crazy.

I had the same dilema, black or stornoway, in the end I went for Stornoway..........hey it's your money so its your choice Smile
