We were following thinking you would be doing a full valet at the end Thumbs Up
You did seem a tad envious of that fine trio of Stornoway's Laughing
As for the scones I did abstain from them, nothing to do with CG's top notch hospitality, its just they don't sit well on one of Ken's finest breakfasts. Thumbs Up

Shocked This derogatory comment regarding your darling wife's home made cooking is now on record CG, potentially to be viewed by millions Shocked
I've printed it out for an internet secure hard copy - It would be a shame if she got a copy of it through the post Whistle

Mrs G enjoyed my cooking so much she had me convert the front porch into a mini kitchen, notice the lack of oven Confused

Just finished the diy project today so say nice things Thumbs Up . Many thank to the people at screwfix who send me the worlds leakiest bottle trap for the sink Evil or Very Mad that was an hour of my time well spent Banging Head (fixed it with silicon tape in the end).

As part of my new found climate friendly attitude the walls have all been skined with insulated plaster board, I will save the planet alone as you lot are doing naff all about it Cool

That socket may have just got away with it, should be no shorter than 300mm horizontally from sink, but if it's a new installation it must be protected by a 30mA RCD.

Very nice, where are the kick boards? Like the picture right above the socket hope you didnt drill the cables fixing it. Thats why everything in a domestic property has to be covered by a 30ma rcd now, to stop you diyers killing yourselves or others.

That reminds me of my ex in-laws old damp house that was wired using the old lead covered cable many moons ago. They put a picture up on the wall and whacked a nail through the buried lead sheath into the live cable without knowing, and as the earthing was non existent on a wet day if you leant against any wall that was damp with your hand it would give you a belt Shocked

By the way CG, it looks nice Thumbs Up

Ah the good old days, no earthing no faults, the problem nowadays replacing a consumer unit for a nice safe rcd and mcb protected one it trips out if there are any faults how inconvenient "it never use to do that before".
No! not when you had no earthing and nails as fuse wire. Laughing

Trouble was, even when you had no appliances turned on you could still be racking up an electricity bill due to the earth leakage Laughing As you say, good ol days. Thumbs Up

Dare I say it, they were a bit on the poor side and inside the meter connection box was a small link that they use to drop to stop the meter wheel going around Mr. Green
