New car, new member

Hey there everyone, I swapped the XTrail in for a 59 TD4e and it's pure luxury compared with the XTrail. I won't run the XTrail down as it served me well for 5 years from new but the engine was a bit agricultural Sad so here's hoping for another 5 years of (somewhat) trouble free motoring.
Too early for me to think of dirtying it Embarassed as it's still nice and shiny but look forward to an event or two eventually when the newness wears off.
Can't say I've seen many in East Yorkshire but will now keep the peepers open, catch you all later. Thumbs Up

Welcome on board, Thumbs Up I did the same had a X Trail for 5 years and then went for a FL2 . X Trail did everything I asked of it, but was to heavy on the juice and it was either a new diesel one or something else, glad I went with the FL2 defiantly a step up.

Thanks for the welcome, in fact I'm Cornish but been living up north for 25 years now, so not a proper northerner, just a tolerated outsider. Very Happy

Welcome, honorary Northerner. The FL2 is a very different (read 'superior') machine to the X-trail.

Just to clarify:
It's "up t' North"
I thank you.

It is a different car altogether, the XTrail did all I asked of it albeit in a "tractorish" way and served me well but the Freelander 2 is superior in comfort, ride, noise levels, ride height, just about everything really. Long may it continue.

Is it too early for me to say I tow a white box without getting alienated by CG. Question you see I've read nearly every thread on the forum Cool

A fake Yorkshire man who tows a van Rolling Eyes You'd be burnt at the stake round here.

And whats tractorish? all about? Did the X-trail have 6.9litre 6-cylinder turbo common rail engine with 24 sequential push button gears and 650 mm wide tyres . I dont think so Laughing At work

What CG means to say is:
Welcome dear fellow owner.
He just has trouble expressing his emotions.
