It came in very recently. I have had both trims replaced twice now and the seat belts themselves once for wear.
Last year they replaced them with the same as the originally had then of course they wore again.

Now have had both sides changed to new design and hopefully they will be ok as out of warranty.

Many thanks for the codes! it nicely steared them in the right direction! they said it wasnt for rattling but on closer inspection of it i noticed it had started to wear on the drivers side. So they have agreed to do it on Tuesday.

Cheers Smile
Thumbs Up

Well mine is still in warranty, so it was done within a few days.

There's two issues really redlabel
1) Wear on the plastic surround - the action of pulling the seatbelt out wears the edge of the opening, not the end of the world as a problem but it is a design fault, which is recognised by LR.
2) Wear on the actual seat belt - Wear or what you could describe as fraying on the outer edge of the seat belt webbing, which is only happening because it's rubbing on the above. Once that's started you could class it as a safety critical.
Won't cost anything to ask your dealer for their comments the next time your passing, stressing the fact that worn seat belt is dangerous.

Thanks Mr.
Will check with them the next time I'm in there....which unfortunately is quite often. Big Cry
The plastic surrounding doesn't look good. When I first saw it i thought the cars KM had been tampered with. Embarassed FL2, TD4 HSE

Mine was in last week for a pinion seal.
Mentioned, in passing, the seatbelt wear on the B pillars (didn't even notice till the issue was raised here), the dealer took pictures to send to LR.
Both trims replaced under warranty at the same time as the seal, seatbelts showed no signs of wear so they weren't replaced.

The new trims have a black raised edge sames as the pictures already posted. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Think mine need doing now, driver's side looks like a knife has gone through it. Anyone else think the LR seatbelts are thin material? I have 2 car seats for the kids and the seat belt is always catching in the seat belt slot on the car seat because the material is too thin. Not a problem when the same seat is put in our Audi, nice high quality material for their seat belts.
