Hi - we have a 2007 FL2 XS, which we bought in May from Farnell in Leeds.

We really like the car, but are having a problem with the stereo. Farnell have been very helpful, but have not been able to resolve this. So help needed!

The sound will cut out intermitently in a morning when the radio is on, and the display will go blank other than the clock. It does it for a few minutes at a time, usually when the car is cold first thing. It is usually cured by turning it off for five minutes then trying again.

It is not just loosing the signal, as it seems to actually loose power to the radio. It will also loose the Bluetooth connection to the phone at this point, and then refuse to try to reconnect, just stating immediately that the Bluetooth connection failed, i.e. it seems to not even try and connect, there is no pause, it just states connection failed.

Farnell pulled the stereo out and checked all the connections, they also say there is no fault recorded in the unit. Inevitably it won't do it when they have the vehicle in so we are not getting anywhere.

Any ideas, it's is driving me barmy? I was thinking dry joint somewhere?

No Expert, but maybe the signal from canbus (body control module) maybe a software update needed???

Just a thought - if you cannot replicate the fault at the dealers keep a camera handy and video the fault and then play it back to them.

My 2008 had a similar problem that was cured by a software update

We have that exact same problem but only when the unit is trying to play DAB radio. Screen goes blank other than clock, seems like it is switched off but isn't. Ours is booked into our local dealer for investigation on Monday. 2010 HSE Auto in Santorini Black/almond with xenons and privacy glass.

Hi guys i have a problem like this, my 07 xs went to the dealer to fix a battery light on the dash not going out and the parking sensors not working. I was told it needed a new wiring harness £1000 this was authorised by the garage i bought the car from BUT when i picked the car up the sensors still don't work and NOW the power to the audio/bt as gone! the clock is on but nothing else.

Please could you update if you fix it!!!

Our car is back from our local dealer tonight, they had to ask advice from LR Technical and in the end did a hardware reset then re-configured DAB, so far its working OK!

The hardware reset loses all the audio settings and sat nav destinations/configuration. 2010 HSE Auto in Santorini Black/almond with xenons and privacy glass.

has someone found the solution to this? My Stereo started having this issue this morning.
Since someone mentioned canbus, I have replaced my headlight bulbs with bright white philips H11's.

Go to the RJB and pull the MOST Ring Break pin and leave out for 20 minutes so that all the ecu’s on the infotainment system reset. MY15

....ok, this is strange.... The problem occured in the morning while I was driving to work. Then, on the way back home - a 45 minute drive - everything was fine. Radio was fine, bluetooth connected... Not a glitch..... I hope the electirical gremlins have not migrated from my old disco to this one......
