Wash and HydraWaxed

Thought the best way to cure my hangover was to wash the Freelander

So this morning I decided to use the newly arrived BH Hydra wax

No before pictures as I was charging up my phone

Method use was

Autobright snowfoam
HIgh Pressure Jet wash
Billberrys wheel cleaner
Gloss It Wash TBM
Dodo Wool washmitt
BH Soft Clay with water as lube
AB Snowfoamed again
Jetwashed again
And then dried

I then applied DD Lime Prime Lite and then on to the waxing

I have to mention the new Hydra wax was a pleasure to use, applied without effort and left to cure for 10 mins whilst applying to the other panels.

I think that it's such an easy product to use that gives my White car a nice gloss finish even though I have never actually machine polished it fully in the year I have had it

Finished off treating the windscreen with my carlack glass sealant as my findings on the side windows and roof it's great stuff

Very nice and clean Thumbs Up

Just got some Poor Boys Black Hole for mine then a couple of coats of Auotbrite wax (smell like chocolate )

How did you fine the BH Clay, used Maguire’s clay before and had no problems, thought I would try BH clay as it seems to get some good reviews

Hope to get mine done in the next couple of weeks before winter sets

I was using the Bilthamber soft clay, with it been Cold today I had two chunks on the go and alternated between them in a hot cup of water to keep it supple

Found it ok, didn't attack the iron particles (tiny orange dots) very well but I didn't expect it too, and if I was going to use a proper polish after i would have used the regular clay bar

Worth a try, big bars for little money and you can just use water as the lube so cuts down on costs, you just need to use loads of water and keep it supple or risk marring Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

You can buy Bilthamber clay direct www.Bilthamber.com

Or often your local car spares shop sell Meguiers quick detailing kits which Inc clay and a spray bottle of quick detailer(lube)

As a sidenote: If anybody fancys some of the wax I used they current have an offer on saving over £10, I got 500ml hydra wax, foam applicator and large microfibre (which is very soft) for £15 Inc P&P Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Looks really good. I take it the car lack glass sealant is like rain-x? How long does it last between applications?
