Tip for a smear free windscreen

I've done a search and i can't find what I'm looking for (but I'm willing to be proved wrong if anyone wants to point me in the right direction).

What I'm after is a good tip for getting the inside of my windscreen, smear free. Despite constant wiping, the use of stuff like Mr. Muscle glass cleaner, I finish cleaning it (it looks good) but as soon as the sun hits it at the right angle I realise just how many smears are still there.

I'm a non smoker, the windscreen is reasonably new (replaced after cracking) but I'm sure I should be able to get the inside better than it is.

Any tips? I don't really relish the idea of using anything like an external glass cleaner that dries/leaves a white residue on the inside of my car because it will get everywhere.

Anal or what? What do the rest of you do or am I the only person it irritates?

RR

It something I haven't mastered yet Wink

Likewise I have used autoglym fast glass, cheap glass clearer and mr muscle which I find was the best of the bunch

Best results I got are using Mr M and the stronger kitchen roll, soak it, then clean the screen, folding it over as soon as dirty, THEN used another few pieces folded to dry the screen whilst it's still wet

Spray the kitchen roll, not the screen as you'll get fallout on the dash Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Glass cleaner sprayed onto kitchen roll to clean it. Then a good quality, clean microfibre cloth to go over once more (dry, no chemicals) works best for me. Phil

Apparently the trick is to use little cleaner and always polish off with a new dry cloth and not the same cloth folded over! Freelander 2 TD4 Auto, SE, Narvik Black, Alpaca full leather, Rear Headrest Entertainment System, 6 CD, 18 HSE Wheels, Privicy tints

I agree that a dirty windscreen, whether inside or out, is one of the most annoying things on the planet!!
In my experience the easiest way to clean the inside is to use a clean damp microfibre cloth followed by a clean dry microfibre. If only these microfibre cloths were around when I was a lad, they make cleaning the car so easy Thumbs Up

i use Autoglym glass polish ( not fast glass) and have no smear's at all. Or use Auto glym super resin polish ( not jokeing) its better than the glass polish, but dont use it on any window that has a wiper on it ( outside) Thumbs Up

3M glass foam.

Use with a cloth/microfibre and not kitchen roll.

Awesome and streak free.
