Auto Dimming Rear Mirror Upgrade...help?

Hi all,

I'm looking into seeing if its possible to upgrade my GS to an Auto dimming rear view mirror.

Has anyone done it or know if its possible?

The plug inside (red ish with 8 pins) looks like it might be the plug for it? Can anyone with the auto dimming already confirm this?

Many Thanks.

I had a look at the wiring diagram, ,Mirrors Electochromatic circuit, (pdf file is on the gallery) and there are 4 wires coming to the mirror, power, earth, one line from reverse select relay, and other from AC control to provide humidity level. If you are after auto dimming functionality it might just work with power (+ -) as the mirror itself has the sensor to detect light from vehicles behind. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

Maybe someone with a Auto Dimming Mirror could meet you and let you try it out prior to forking out for one Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
