this does seem an exceptionally low premium for the cover they are giving you.

in fact it's so low I would question it !!

unless you have some other package/deal that brings it down so much ??

Yes, i know where you are coming from, but if you have triple checked all the factual info you have input and then received the 'Statement of Facts' which confirms once again all the details and on top of that spoken to the call centre to put on the fancy alloys and received an ameneded policy out for that, then who am I to argue. Personally, I think the pricing was a computer glitch, but I've covered myself to the point of being OCD.

occassional it does happen that somebody gets a stupidly low premium, underwritters rate things on a daily basis and if you tick all the "we like you" boxes your in for a saving

you must live in an area were accidents/car crime is low for that particular insurance company Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I paid £500 last year, renewed in April and its almost £600 Shocked

Initial high price coz its a HSE with a bodykit on, if I had gone for the HST it would have worked out cheaper Question

Yes, I was reluctant to amend the policy re the fancy alloys in case the new insurance price doubled , but you have to declaire everything, including chipped windscreens or risk the cover and you can't do that. No doubt they will try to coin it back next year.

I've found you go with one company one year, they hike the price up the next, so you change companies and then revert to the original the next year when they try to entice you back. mind you, there is enticing you back and giving it away. My normal premium is 250 quid, even at that it would be the cheapest on here yet! Yes, we don't have accident blackspots, car crime or god forbid, stolen vehicles. In fact there isn't any crime, nor any Police in honesty, been a few years since I've seen one that not on the TV, apart from renewing my Firearms Certificate last month. Dog Fouling is a hanging crime round here.

England

Insurers normally quote an INTRODUCTARY price, in the hope that you will renew for the following years at an steadily increased price-it pays to shop around EVERY year.
It makes me smile when people say I will stick will "xyz company" because they gave me a good quote or service last year, Forget the Brand loyalty crap, That was OK when your insurer was an independent trading from a local shop, But these days most insurance company's are merely a brand that could be administrated by a totally different company next year with totally different staff, offices and operational style, E.G. Tescos' insurance was administered by RBS and now by UK Insurance PLC, Many of the well Know brands are just another trading name of a seemingly competitor.

But you are the only inhabitant of the island so are unlikely to have your FL2 pinched or someone smash into you.... Whistle
