United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e GS Manual Santorini Black

Just been thinking: Surely, one small electrical appliance would take forever to drain a (presumably) heavy duty battery for a deisel car?
Anyone know what the hour/life of a battery is?

Simon reckons there was a 500Ma drain. Less than 30Ma quiesent drain is acceptable. If he was driving in the dark the night before with loads such as blower/lights on, then i'm not suprised his battery was short of crank capacity. 500Ma is more current drain than a 5w bulb.

2010 Freelander 2 TD4_e S Manual Stornoway Grey

Just happened to look into my FL2 late last night on my way back from walking the dog. Noticed the stereo front glowing green which I thought was odd as the car was fully locked. Opened up, tried to turn off stereo, totally locked up. Had to start the car and then turn the stereo off fully before locking the car again. Could this be a fault and the potential source of any battery drain issues for other people? Will add to my growing snag list which now includes window trim falling off, front grey underbody trim falling off, a loose turbo hose that has been spraying a fine mist of oil around the engine bay and a poorly finished boot lid. Have forgotten about the snow and want something low and fast now....! If Land Rover could sort all the minor irritations people have then they would have a mighty fine product on their hands, just think it is a bit mediocre quality now for the money.

I have frequently parked up whilst on the phone and have never had a problem the next morning.

The update is that according to my Dealer the battery is US so a week later they are going to replace it. Annoyed they have taken so long as they only took the car into the workshop last night. Mad Simon

What?!?! The battery is US? What a strange thing to say. So they don't have 12V batteries in the States? Or maybe the battery is AC! Question Shocked
Sounds like they are trying to buy time. FL2, TD4 HSE
