That’s a very easy question to answer.
1 - they are a pain to keep clean and look crap when dirty.
2 - they are the most common colour around and not just Freelys, all vehicles.
3 - black is associated with death, gloom and gangsters.
4 - CG owns one. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I don't dislike the black cars, infact i had one previously PITA to keep clean

i would say silver, greys & reds are more popular over here, but black is high on the list Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I love black, I love making sure it looks mint, generally any car looks better in black. Maybe I'm just a gangsta.....

My past few cars have all been black....

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

In my youth, when all (almost all cars) were black, my school mates dad who owned a pub and restaurant bought a new Jag (think it was a Mk.9) specially painted two toned coffee and cream. It had a sliding sun roof and chromed spoke wheels with white walled tyres and tan coloured real leather interior. That car stood out in the “black crowd” and all heads turned when we passed them on the home from school or a fishing trip - yeh long story I know, but from that day on, to me black cars have always seemed pretty mundane and do not do justice to the cars design.

Of course today the table has turned 180 degrees and we are back in a black period (at least in Norway) and it seems everybody follows the next guy when it comes to colour just like a bunch of Sheep .
Although green was first on the list, it was the Mrs. that convinced me Stornoway was the way to go, but it beats black for looks any day. Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Black is the colour of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum; they absorb all such frequencies of light. Although black is sometimes described as an "achromatic", or hueless, colour, in practice it can be considered a colour

STILL CANT STAND IT THOUGH!!!
