I got my XS FL2 in August 2008 when it was just under a year old with 9,500miles on the clock and paid £18k (forecourt £18995). Just looked at the same dealers website and they have a similar car on their books, same XS spec (apart from colour & the stop/start), sub 10k miles & less than a year old, as mine was, but ...........it's on for £26.8k!

I paid around £13.5K for my 07 GS about 14 months ago....I can get that on a trade in now! Good these LandRovers (except I want to but another)

Just been offered £11900 part exchange, for a new XS, by the dealer I bought it from for my 07 GS diesel manual with 54,000 on the clock, full main dealer service history (them) and a brand new MOT.
Just noticed on Autotrader, the same dealer has an identical car to mine with 44,000 miles on the clock for sale for £16,775. I know they are not a registered charity and are entitled to make a profit, but they must be joking.

Mine is a December 2006 56 plate HSE TD4 with 36000 miles on the clock.

Just two weeks ago, I was offered £17300 for it in PX against a 2010 59 plate HSE with 4000 miles on, which was up at £28995. I paid £25995 in August 2007 for mine. So if I accepted his offer (Which I didn't) I would have lost only £8600 in nearly 3 years. I reckon that is acceptable.

Mine is absolutely mint and not a mark on it, the guy was telling me that Freelander 2 price have gone up alot over the past 6 months. Stratstones have their own IDEAS about values - nothing to do with Price Guides - they just make it up and hope the customer does not have a clue they are being ripped off. Have never heard of anyone getting a GOOD deal from Stratstones. About time TATA realized this dealer is a rip-off merchant and does nothing for the name of Landrover

Going to see dealer today thinking of trading in my 08 GS manual 15700mls on the clock for a new HSE auto, and discuss delivery for new plates in september. Hopeing for a reasonable valuation.

I work with an ex stratstone salesman, he says stratstone must make at least £2000 profit on each car that they sell.

Had car valued, 2yr old GS manual 15800mls stratstone will buy for £18000, August 2008 I paid £19995.
