Thought I'd say hello!

We're waiting for our new FL2 TD4e GS in Stornoway Gray to arrive at the dealership.. Should be available for collection next week hopefully!

This will be our first Landrover, making the switch from a BMW 3-series touring having had enough of the hard suspension over country lanes; excitable handling in the wet; uslessness in frost, snow & ice etc..

Can't wait!

We just have two minor problems to sort out now - how to reach the roof when cleaning it; and figuring out a way for the Mrs to be able to reach the tailgate to close it when open!!!!

you can buy a hop up from most diy stores thats what i use as for the misses reaching the handle, you could try getting an old wooden walking stick with the hook handle and cutting it down for her and keeping it in the boot

I just stand on the back wheel to wash the roof and do the front section with the drivers/passengers door open stood on the cill plate (You can easiy do the windscreen also)

Two tips for you:
Firstly, for the vertically challenged - A good option is to tie a piece of garden twine to the upper part of the boot lock mechanism which will hang down to a reachable level for the other half.

Secondly, I use a telescopic microfibre kitchen mop and waterless 'spray and shine' (supplied by netparts.co.uk) for the roof.
