Nice weather for a Quick Wash

Well decided it was about time to give the car a wash and wax Very Happy

Started at 9am with snowfoam, and Meguiers APC to clean around the badges and gaps

Then jet washed down, and washed using a Dodo Juice sheep's skin mitt, two buckets and Meguiers NTX shampoo

I then rinsed down again, using Autosmart Tardis applied with a Microfibre to rid the car of the little tar spots, it stinks but its great stuff for shifting them

Pressure washed again, and washed down the areas with the shampoo to get rid of the tardis, then on to polishing the car, opted for a finishing pad and AutoGlym Super resin polish, as it was just a smartening up clean today, as i didn't have time to do paint correction.

Wizzed around the car, probably quicker than i should using the G220 DA Polisher, but wanted to get it done and a coat of wax on, opted for my trust Collys 476s for easy of use and applied uses a damp Megs Sponge applicator to the whole car and buffed off using a plush MF.

Then on to the wheels, been suffering a little from burn on break dust, so i had to get the Billberrys ratio lower than normal and sprayed and agitated and left for about 5 mins a wheel, before a PW off, and using Wonder wheels I applied to the more stubborn bits, left on for a little while agitating with a brush and then onto tardis for left over spots, and got good results so i presume they must have been tar there too, Sprayed with APC, PW down, washed with shampoo, PW down, dried and then I polished the face of the wheels spokes with my DA and Gloss - it Evolution Polish to brighten them up a little and sealed with PoorBoys Wheel Sealant. Tyres Done with Gloss - It Signature Tyre Dressing.

Engine Bay wiped down with APC, PW off at low pressure, dried and a good coating of Aerospace 303, along with the extrerior trim and mirrors.

And now a few Pictures of my 6 hours spent cleaning Whistle

Now i need to find a few days clear weather to clay it, and machine polish it using my more aggressive polishes and selections polishing pads with the DA as it was quite swirly under the strong sun that was out today Crying or Very sad , but i need to do my caravan first

I used to complete that process weekly when I drove it!!! Whistle Hmmmm perhaps I didn't?

Fantastic results, it's probably a lot cleaner than it was when new!

You think you nice. Where I am sitting just now, it's 3pm and sunny - 91 degrees. Only down side is I am back to the Jeep, it's the 3lt engine, but then petrol is only 2.50p per gallon. Have a nice summer! Oh, off to wave at Obama tomorrow, but only if it's not raining - smirk! Laughing

Every day is a holiday! I saw Obama in Arcadia last October. It's only a small town. It was fun, but no grassy knowls and I don't have a firearm!

Hey, if you want a gun, you can get it in the local Walmat here. Talking of which I saw the Acer Aspire 5517 with Windows 7 for 220 pounds today. just had to buy one at that price. The upgrade to the OS was over 100, a no brainer.

when bought I drove home and sprayed it with aerospace 303

and I just used Meguiers All purpose cleaner, but any APC will do, dry and top up the 303

bought it from polished bliss

also use it In side too, when doing the dash and other plastic trims Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I haven't met a dealer yet who can deliver a car prepared to a decent standard these days. Cleaned our newly delivered FL2 today, first wash since delivered (with Supaguard applied) - spent a whole load of time removing residue from various textured plastic parts, and then tidying up the interior to decent std. I guess it's a time/cost thing, took me 2hrs to get it looking like it should've done on delivery. 2010 LR Freelander2 XS TD4_e Manual - Santorini Black (family car for the misses)
