Corrosion

Have noticed some aggresive corrosion (rust) on left hand rear wheel arch flange. Worst on lower front area just behind rear passenger door sill. Paint also bubbling at top of wheel arch flange where it is exposed. The other side is just starting to loose paint, but not as bad.

Has anyone got experience of this and if so, was it fixed under bodywork warranty?

It's in for 45K service in a couple of weeks, so we'll see what dealer makes of it. I'll be changing it this year, so I'm not too worried about it. But it will turn into a major mess / job if not sorted soon.

BTW. Fitted new brake pads last week. Genuine pads cost £95 on Tatbay, took about an hour and half, including looking for my 7mm caliper allen key, last used about 20 years ago on my MK3 Escort!! Easy enough job, didn't fancy parting with £250ish when in for a service. 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone
