HomeLink coming to FL2

Heard that LR have decided to offer Homelink for us FL2 owners Very Happy

So if you have just placed your order you might be able to add it on Thumbs Up

Which is great news for me as the new house (when i find one) will be getting Automatic gates, if the driveway permits

Quote:
Homelink ® (Door Opening) System
We are pleased to announce a new feature called Homelink ® is now available for Freelander 2 10MY
The system is dependable on the Auto–Dimming Interior View Mirror with Humidity sensor (031CZ) being fitted therefore is only available GS, XS and HSE only.
The Homelink ® System is a universal transmitter fitted to the underside of the interior rear view mirror. This transmitter can be programmed to operate up to 3 home or office wireless controlled systems, such as garage doors, automatic gates, or security lighting. By replacing the individual remote control units normally required for each system, the driver no longer needs to search the car interior for the correct handset when needed.
Pricing
The price of the Homelink ® system is £170.21 list price with £29.79 VAT and a retail value of £200.00)

I wonder if it can be retro fitted Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I simply nailed the garage door in the up position, I drive in and out no probs Laughing

I need a new lift spring for the door, possibly a new door would be a better solution. but as its on a secluded farm and not pointing into the weather there is no rush. At work

my door is the up and over type, not ideal for electric convertions, especially when the cables and tracks are all worn. I had nail it up as on windy days it used to lower itself as you drove in. one time it blew down onto Mrs G's head Neutral At work

CG, mine is also up and over type and used the following with the electric opener, It converts the pull of the motor in to up and over motion. Works well.

Useful for gates but for garage door, I prefer to manually choose. Many times I just pull up outside but not actually wanting to park in the garage. Phil
