2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Interior light 2009 onwards

I have the old style interior light with only the main light. The newer models have the 2 map lights as well. I have got hold of a new unit with the map lights and it is a simle swap for the electrics, but think I'll have to cut a bit of the plastic back where the light fits into the roof trim.

Would anyone be so kind to remove their light and take a piccy of the cavity for me? It's only a case of sliding a knife between the unit and trim window side.

You're a star Roverland Thumbs Up . I see what I've done wrong then, I've bought a Modeo light, it's a bit fatter than yours but fits the shape. Do you know if these are available from a dealer?

Anyone know how to remove this main roof section that the light is situated in?........those small 'grills' on my GS are covered from the inside with a small disc of foam, I was thinking of using these for ambient light?

Anyone know what purpose they serve Question Question

Don't think so ad, I've got a pod fixed to the roof (the size of a rounded glasses case) inbetween the two sunroofs that is the alarm sensors.
