the MATZKER sump guard is identical to the Mantec guard looking at the pictures. Freelander 2 XS 2.2 TD4 Met Black, with Winter pack, 18" alloys with General Grabber AT2 wellies, MANTEC Sump and Tank Guards

I've been talking to the dealership service guys this morning, and asked about the underbody protection.

Their comment was that LR accessories don't have something like that, hence it's not necessary. They say many companies build accessories like that to make money. Theis suggestion was to take the car offroad as it is and have fun with it. Whistle 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Right. After yesterdays rural wanderings at Tong, I've managed to jet-wash the underside & get the car onto a set of ramps to survey the damage...
Seems I need an entire fuel tank guard inc heat sheild, a support brace of some description & the reinforced plastic sump guard type thing. Embarassed

So, are there only 2 pieces of significant underside protection in existence for the FL2? Ie; the sump guard & fuel tank guard?
Are they straight forward to fit & does the sump guard replace any existing protection or does it simply cover existing parts? FL2 HSE Manual in Stornaway Grey
