Doc you was robbed
£21.5K for an 08 HSE auto with 900miles on the clock - yes 900, but you do have to like orange.

I disagree about the terrain response, IMHO the auto box is more important off road than terrain response.
Having had auto and manual FL1, and had the joy of burned out clutches, give me auto every time.

Don't get me wrong terrain response in mud and snow is brilliant.

Black is so yesterday Tangiers Orange is so -- in your face

Disagree if you like Whistle but Any LRE instructor will tell you that Terrain Response on a FL2 is much more important than an autobox for off-road excursions, but together they are perfect Thumbs Up

In addition TR is great advantage for winter use on asphalt, were as an autobox can only be considered as a luxury in the similar situations. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

900 miles? If i had a bright orange car the miles would be WAY lower Whistle

Good deal mate but I wanted the later spec with colour coded bits, spoiler etc in Silver, black or grey for my MRS..... Whistle

Tangiers Orange would be nicer than black I agree - but harder to come by....

I definitely want manual over auto in order to get any extra fuel economy. I'd want the FL2 e for the same reason. I've got nothing against nearly new as opposed to new - but with the mileage I do the warranty is all important to me too - although I'm hearing more about extended warranties these days... I guess that one comes down to reliability - I've had too many cars let me down at around 65,000 - 80,000 miles in the past for no good reason - and always fully serviced through main dealers (never a LR though - I remember many years ago I had a 109 safari 2.25 petrol that had almost 200,000 miles on it)

I'm seeing prices of £21500 for a new GS if you haggle (including full size spare and metallic paint) so I may be able to get something that way, but would be interesting to see what a nearly new FL2 TD4 e GS goes for in a few months time.

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Sumatra Black

I think I'd rather have the extra 5+mpg the manual gives you. TR is essential - it almost might as well be a 2WD without it, surely?? I'm thinking about a trade in and I'd just get another SE but it no longer exists Shocked . Does anyone know the difference between an old SE and a new(er) XS? Don't think I could afford the HSE.

The wheels on the GS are my favourite and it has a decent spec. I'd certainly have an Auto though.
