I'd be a bit careful about topping up with different oils. Albeit, so long as it's the same viscosity, it shouldn't be a major issue. Go to your local dealer and they normally top it up for free. Otherwise my dealer does 5 litres of Unipart 5w 30 for £13.00!! That's what they use in the service. 5W-30 is what it needs so that bit is OK but does it say on the bottle meets specification M2C913-B. If it doesn't don't do it.

Shocked I guess you were just kidding us Confused , but if you were serious and cant afford a litre of the right stuff, you really should consider selling your Freely and buying somthing cheaper that you can afford to keep on the road Whistle . 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

We had this debate four years ago on Disco3 when the TDV6 had a drinking problem and used several litres when new. Just remember it's a Ford engine and you can get 4.5 litres from a Ford Dealer for fraction of what a Land Rover/Jaguar dealer will charge Whistle A Land Rover owner since 1988

I have just less than a litre (about 600ml) of the correct oil in my garage when I had to top up my old car a little just before a service

PM me your post code so I can work out postage to see if it will be cost effective for me to post it to you Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
