Collecting Snow

As mentioned in another thread I have noticed the FL2 collects snow behind the front wheels, this builds up so much it hinders the turning of the wheels while stationary.

Thought its not noticable when driving, as the rotating wheel shaves the snow off

I've just found the one and only advantage of not having the colour coded panels at the bottom around this area.....you can give it a good kick and the packed snow falls off Thumbs Up

they probably do all do this, but to be honest its the first car i have noticed it on to this degree

I suppose if i drove like my driving instructor told me, and only turn the wheel whilst in motion i wouldn't have noticed Embarassed Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Its quite normal on all cars - must be worse if you have flaps.

I always remove those ice lumbs before driving in the garage, as they drop off inside and eventually melt, leaving a flood in the garage. I use a hand brush and go round the underside of all the wheel arches as well to remove as much cold stuff as I can before bedding her Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Quite agree - this option is fine for summer, but not practical when half the year is winter 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Pinky, it maybe that this is the most snow we have had for nearly forty years and also before you had the Freelanders you possibley had a standard saloon car there fore you parked it when it snowed? Now having the Freelander you don't fear the snow you tend to go out in just for the hell of it? p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Though I live within a mile of Old Trafford, though I'm actually in Manchester unlike them, I'm not a native so have no alegience to them. SWMBO however is a born and bread City fan. She has a few affectionate names for them, the most regular being Scum. Met a guy in Belfast Yesterday who upon finding out I lived here assumed that, like him, I was a Red. Typical Red fan thought I, living miles away, though he wasn't from London. Indus Silver
