How much have you used TR this hoiday?

Left Harrogate in a blizzard on Christmas Eve, 4" outside the garage and single track on local roads. GGS did the trick, did not even spin a wheel. Easy after 20 minutes, once on the A1 south, but lane 3 snowed out. After Christmas, went to photograph a shoot and drove round a Suffolk Estate on M&R most of the time. Just one problem getting out of ruts to pass a parked L200 - not much room with brambles on the left; back end slipped back into the runded ruts a couple of times, close to the L200 - just an issue with tyre grip as Contis are down to 3-4 mm.
A bit embarrassing as I was being followed by a 1981 Series III on BFG M&S but pretty capable all round. Freel2 impressed the owner's son who was towing the guest trailer around in a Land Cruiser. Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red
Gone... 2008 (09MY) XS Td4 Manual Stornaway Grey
Prior... 2003 G4 Discovery 2, 1998 Disco 1 and 1997 Disco 1 Company car before that
Also gone in Nov'13, after 7.5 yrs, to new owners with time for more TLC - 1980 Series III 88
Current 2015 Discovery Sport HSE 2.0

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Aintree Green

I've used mine a few times around Norwch in the last few weeks - particularly when we had 4-5" snow just over a week ago.

I used SSG this morning in fact as the roads were very icy.

I must say this is one of the best features on the FL2

Had a great time finding out how capable the F2 is in snow & ice. Only person on our road who knew they could get up the hill to the main road! mole

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Only once, my friend has a 9 year old Ford Explorer 4.0 V6, after 8 years of ownership, the transmission lost reverse. So I had to pull it up the drive on sheet ice.

My FL2 was spinning the wheels and only just dragging it up the the drive, but then realised he still had the box in reverse which locked the rear wheels, I thought it was hard work, but as soon as he selected neutral it did it with ease. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather.
