sounds normal, GGS allows some spin. if it didnt allow an amount of spin on slippy surfaces then it would never allow any power to the wheels.

useful comments as usual However it may be cheaper to go on a LRE and learn how and when you should use the different settings and what results to expect. I dont suppose for one moment there is anything wrong with your TR, you just need some expeiance in using it 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Thanks AndyC and CG for your replies. As the power is split between front and back wheels in GGS I was expecting all 4 wheels to be spinning at the same time. If it was in normal road setting I would have expected the front wheels to skid a little and then the back wheels to come in.

Depends which wheels loose grip first I guess. dont expect the terrain response to 'lock' the front wheels to the back, this doesn't happen . If it did the car would be hard to steer when the wheels re-found grip. My pickup has a locked 4x4 system, Ok for slippy stuff but you must take it out of 4x4 as soon as you drive on grippy surfaces as it does not like any speed differences between the front and rear axles.

Thanks CG. I think you are correct. I have been watching which seems to agree with what you say.
