2007 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Stornoway Grey
BF Goodrich AT on Freelander 2

Hi all,

I need to get a set of Goodrich AT tyres fitted and need to know what size are best suited to the FL? I assume 16" wheels are best to give me the most options? I don't want to fit the biggest I can find, I just want the optimum Goodrich tyres fitted. Please note, I am not after ideas on other tyres, I like the Goodrich tyres a great deal and use them on all my Landies.

Hi
You're right, you will have to go for 16" rims to fit BFG's. Standard size is 215 75 16. BFG do a 225 70 16, which is pretty much identical rolling diameter to original (sidewall 3.7mm smaller). Given that you start with 12mm of tread on a BFG rather than 10 on most road tyres then you really shouldn't notice any difference.

Wish they would make lower profile ones for 17" rims. I have General Grabber AT2 fitted 255 65 17. Grip is very similar to BFG but ware rate is not as good Big Cry

Also really rate BFG AT's, would comfortably get 45K out of front ones on a Freelander 1.

Hope this helps 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone

Did you final got a set of BF Goodrich on your 16" wheels. If yes, how were they? I m considering a set for my Freelander2, so any info would be valuable! LAS in acnient Greek language means rock, earth, land (the first word of our car' name)

PAE in Greek means goes or rovering (the second word of our cars' name)
