Right, so I went to Renault, and it's no longer in production. It's been superseded with an uglier version.
Went to Nissan and bought one, and it doesn't fit.
Ordered another type from the web, since neither Dacia nor Renault can supply any.
Actually Land Rover makes one as well, so I'll have a look into that.

Cheers,
Redfox

I had a plastic fantastic (not) ‘modern’ wiper on the back of my FL2. It looked rubbish. Went back to the minimalist industrial design supplied by Land Rover!

Only used the rear wiper 3 times over a decade... & that was all by accident.

Wouldn't mind a wiper for the camera on the bum of the car. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Right, so I had ordered an arm that is advertised as fitting Land Rover Freelander 2.
Separate arm and blade kit.

It arrived today via snail mail.
Never mind that.
What I do mind is the absolute Censored quality this is made to.

- the price is cheap, but I don't let the price decide. There is just nothing else to choose from. And remember, being in Denmark, I pay import tax, and tax on top of the price, so the price is around half of say a Land Rover arm (albeit from a newer different Land Rover). The price therefore end up being the same as say an original Nissan arm (that unfortunately have a different mounting system. I know - I tried).

- no mechanical fitting to grab on the the wiper motor axle. You just set it loosely on and tighten the original nut. Nothing to keep it in place. So it could turn loose after two swipes and that's it. No function. and if you tighten the nut more, it'll break or break the original Land Rover motor.

- the blade is lousy rubber to say the least. I expect it could fail shortly.

- the folding plastic cover that hides the nut have a little tap on the inside that is supposed to click on to the arm body. Not so. It cannot even reach on to it, and therefore just flaps in the wind until it flies off.

Honestly, I would expect more. Not for the price, but because this makes absolutely no sense. It's just pure and total china crap.
Here's the link, so you can avoid wasting time and money on that garbage.

Note: there are several using the same picture, so I suppose they are in fact the same company behind it.
Avoid at all costs, as it will just irritate you and waste your time and money.
How it is possible to design something so badly, is beyond me.
It should actually be forbidden to make these kinds of products and advertising. Ebay just gets a bad name.

This is exactly why Land Rover gets a bad reputation, as they are full of chinese waste products, as it's too hard for Land Rover to actually sell original spares. I asked my local Land Rover dealership, and they have a que of more than 8000 parts ordered that Land Rover cannot put themselves together to ship out, because they hired no one to get all of the spares together and make a proper system. Hmm...
That is why people tend to order alternative parts, and the car looses functionality. So the problem is actually two-fold.

I've contacted the seller.

I will go to Land Rover and see how their newer model original Land Rover arm is designed and works and if it can be made to fit the Freelander 2.
I absolutely don't like the original Freelander 2 rear wiper arm, as I find it plainly ugly. It works well, though.
Watch this space.

Lesson: do not buy so-called Freelander 2 rear wiper arms on ebay, as they are not made to fit the car at all.

Kind regards,
Redfox.
