United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White
2027 Baby Defender Announced

I see that an all-electric 'Freelander Sized' baby DEFENDER is planned. 4.6m long, 2m wide, and less than 1.8m high.

Not to much detail in the Autocar article yet except that it will use 'state of art' high torque electric motor(s), with Defender levels of offroad capability.

Don’t take Autocar seriously.
It’s just another poor cut and paste collage; it’s been done many times before and here’s the “Freelander 3” “scoop” from just before the Disco Sport launch. It’s the same old rubbish:

I'm surprised that "Comic" never rehashed this stretched rendering of the DC100.

I'll also be surprised if JLR didn't try and somehow resurrect the DC100 concept , with a few cosmetic tweaks here and there, hoping to fool the public in to thinking it's a completely new design.

JLR is reinventing itself as House of Brands now, so of course the prices will go up...

And they let the 75th anniversary of Land Rover slip past quietly...

And me.
I must admit I think I'd rather buy a Fisker Ocean, instead of an LR EV. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
