Problem with acceleration.

My Freelander 2.2 diesel automatic has started behaving strangely.
Sometimes when accelerating from the spot or from a steady speed, the power is lost and there is black smoke behind. This happens about 30 percent of the time.
Otherwise, it starts correctly and runs properly. The turbo hoses have been replaced.

Check the hose connections don't forget the very short ones on the Turbo cold side
