Netherlands 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Narvik Black
L/100 km

My FL2 HSE TD4 Auto consumes for the first 1500 km just under 10L/100KM. All posts on this forum are in MPG. I would like to know what the differnce is between the manual and teh auto TD4... anyone???

I am averaging 10.2 km/l (29 mpg) on mostly rural back roads. (Over 2000 miles). It creeps over 30 when i am able to keep some speed up.

Crumbs I'm getting 9.3l/100km in my RRS in normal fast A road countryside driving at the moment............................ thats 30.1mpg. OK so I'm not driving like some mad Saxoboy, but I'm not hanging around either! Have found that using diesel direct from one of the oil majors rather than supermarket diesel has made a big difference in the last 3 fill-ups. For the last 18 months I have nearly always filled it with Sainsbury's cheapo - and was getting 26-27mpg in the same driving conditions. The last 3 tank fil ups have been 80 litress each time of either Shell or Esso regular diesel (I'm not using Ultimate or Optimax which are 10p a litre more expensive and I am sceptical that I would recover that much in additonal mpg) How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?

How the #### do you het 6 or 7l/100 km??? Did you rdrive very slow?? I am driving norm. half the time in town and half the time on the highway and as you read I am getting 10l/100km with Diesel Auto withour filter..[/quote]

Hi Paul, I already drove 1700 Km and the car manual says you should drive carefully only the first 800 so I was guessing the had come to step on the gas.

It's your choice Pim, but it shows you're probably not a very quiet driver and that influences the consumption considerably.

I drive at the limits consented by the law in the motorway (130 km/h) selected with cruise control. I have manual gear.

average of 8,3 l/100km after 10.000 km (of which minimum 2hours a day in a traffic jam, rest highway and hauling kids from sports and school) with excellium diesel from Total (10 eurocents more expensive dan normal diesel from Shell or Texaco)

Does anyone with an i6 have any mileage figures yet? I only have 1300 km on mine but i have calculated the mileage at 12l/100km (23.5 MPG). I was actually pleasantly surprised at this s it ws at highway speeds >110km/hr into a stiff wind!

I thought it would not be this good, in fact it is much better than my old Acura TL. it also sseems to be getting progressively better as the engine breaks in.

Gibber, I suppose that is an improvement over the awful consumption of the 2.5V6 in the freelander 1 which struggled to get passed 20mpg in real life motoring. How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
