Australia 2009 Freelander 2 i6 SE Auto Rimini Red
New to Freelander 2

Hello everyone,
Bought a Free 2 Se i6 a month ago and so far its been a pleasure to drive. Initially I was concerned as I didn’t see many Free 2s on the roads and was worried about the resale price. Then I thought “I should own what I enjoy driving rather than what is easy to sell” Planning to drive to Sydney for the queens B’day week end and will be mainly spending time (3days) around blue mountains. Are there any good 4WD tracks up there? I am mainly looking for easy to moderate tracks as I am reasonably new to 4WD.

2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Alaska White

Hi Lakmal,

We have had our FL2 for a month or so now - and at first we were similar in that we never saw many on the road - which for me was part of the reason for buying one. I didn't want to own a car that you see everywhere.
In the past few weeks I have seen so many more (perhaps because we are now looking for them).

I'm sure you will be very happy with the car.

Australia 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

Hi MikeC, Welcome to the Forum, for my ipod i use the belkin tunebase, it has FM, but it also has a AUX out plug that plugs directly into the AUX plug in the centre console, you dont get steering wheel control of the ipod like the landrover adapter... but works pretty well otherwise, and it charges the ipod while docked, im not sure if it works with the iphone though...

Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Baltic Blue

Hi Lakmal,

Great choice of colour! Picking up my SE TD4 in Baltic Blue next week. There are heaps of great tracks of all levels in the blue mountains. Its been a while since I've done any, but there is a great book called "4wd trips close to sydney" which has some nice drives.

Have a good trip.

Timmo
