when I searched for the tires I found the prices to be between £80 and £130 each depending on the size, I would expect the 235/65/17 to be around £115

6 Months of waiting later.... I got my Wrangler AT SA tyres!

Excellent tyre, no lose of grip on the road which I thought I was going to get from AT tyres.
Silent armour really is silent and cuts out road noise.
Not tried off road yet but by the look of them I'm sure they will be good.

Will load up photos tomorrow once I wash the car!

Yes, Volvo R type, actually I think they are copies. I have glossy aluminiums for the studded winter wheels and dark grey for summer.
Sometimes they appear on Ebay. The grey ones have wide offset, i think it widens about 2 inches on each side, the wheels end up way out on the corners like a go-cart.

Please excuse my ignorance, the original post mentioned fitting 255/55/19 Goodyears, fro. That am I right in thinking that any 255/55/19 will fit? I want to put some General Grabber ATs on mine and this is the closest size I can find...

thinking about doing the same on my fl2 by using the 255/55/r19 pirelli scorpion tyres, does Ratatatat place any pictures? wondering if it can create any damage or if it will improve off road performance.

I had a conversation about this with my local LR specialist when my FL2 was in for servicing. His advice was to stay clear of 255 wheels when originals are 235 as it could potentially cause drivetrain problems. I'm no expert, but given that advice, I won't be taking the risk myself. Incidentally, he did recommend Pirelli Scorpion Zeros as the best tyre for my vehicle, and it is available in 235/55/19 from certain retailers. Quite hard to come by though it seems.

Even with the scorpion zero at this size, it not an AT tyre, the 255/55/R19 is the closest tyre size i could find on 19"rims.
Also scorpion zero is very hard to find, i guess thats the only upgrade you can get from the continentals

Adding to that tyre calculators(i tried a few) gives a 2.9% diameter increase which is 22mm, it should definetly fit. But unless someone that actually used the bigger tryres says so, its still a bit risky. LR2 Si6 XS Sport

Agreed. Frustrating that Landrover didn't build the FL2 with an extra 2cm on the wheel arches!
I have also contacted General tyres who have said they have no plans to manufacture 235 AT tyres.
