I would be inclined to give Ross a bell in the morning and ask him to forward you a copy of the work carried out and redacted invoice...at least you will be able to continue putting the jigsaw together if nothing else...

Well Bourton's got back to me and sadly they only did the one service and MOT on the car back in November last year. So good that they did the work but does not tell me more about the current issues. 2010 FL2 TD4 GS

So got the front of the car jacked up today and the engine shield removed. The good news is that the first look underneath did not reveal any obvious horror stories BUT did reveal substantial looking oil leak that's been going on for a while given how saturated the lower shield is.... Sad

Still waiting to get the injectors back so continued the strip down. Have decided would be as well to go ahead and replace the timing belt and water pump since things are all apart anyway. Went with a set from Gates https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-Gates...2749.l2649

Progress to date:

Have to say working on the car is a pain. Space is soooo limited and every component you remove has a multitude of hoses and cable tied wire harness to cut off!

Taken the throttle valve out as well and found the damage there. Very poor quality in these LR components.
