Intermittent radio/Nav problems - HELP! :)

Hi All
my first time posting!
Im a proud owner of a Freelander 2 XS SD4 AUTO 2011 - love my car but it is of course not without its issues! Cool

The most recent one is the radio/phone/nav entire unit/system, will randomly turn its self off, then immediately turn back on for about 5 seconds then turn its self off for a few seconds, then back on for about 5 seconds and off and so on....

This happened for the first time when i first started my engine 2 days ago, however ever since i could be 15 minuets into a journey where it is working perfectly then suddenly it starts playing up (switching on and off and on and off and on and off... .you get the idea Rolling Eyes ) and wont fix itself again until i have turned the engine off and left it for a while. (i/e go into work for a few hours or go shopping etc)

I have added some photos below - although not sure how much help they will be - as you can see although the Nav and radio both go off the time and back light on the radio stay on.

When this happened it also cleared the list of paired phones - like it completely re-set.

If anyone else has had this and knows how to fix it or what could be causing the problem or if anyone can give any advice on where a potential problem could be it would be much appreciated!

Thank you!

I'd try a hard reset first, it sometimes cures intermittent electrical gremlins....

Had exactly the same problem with mine over the last few months.

It would keep doing it until it forgot my phone link/contacts etc, then be fine... for a while.

In the end the bluetooth phone module failed completely and no more problems (apart from no bluetooth phone!). Haven't gotten around to replacing yet as handbrake/shocks/tyres have had the priority.

The phone part has now gone completely - when I push the phone button it doesn't work but the radio and nav have both stopped playing up so I'm assuming Its the bluetooth module has finally given up!
