Which OBD device do you have?

I'm going to bite the bullet and get a DEVICE.
But which one here in Oz?
I want to be able to read the specific code that pinpoints faults and clears them as well.
No programming required.

So what do you think?

I use the Torque Pro app on my android phone and a bluetooth ELM 327 V2.1 dongle in the OBD socket. It is limited in what it can do but that is sufficient for most of my needs. I've used it on several cars to diagnose faults like O2 sensor failure. Jules

Maybe the Autel AP200 is an option. It can read codes from many modules and reset codes, it can even program keys fobs. They can be found on Aliexpress with shipment from Australia.

I see the iCarsoft LR v2 is available for about $250 over here. I’m ok with that much, but I want something that can drill down further than just a generic code and can clear codes for that money. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

I would agree with Grumsel.
The Autel AP200 is very good at less than £50 direct from Autel. I purchased it for my Clio. You get a Bluetooth OBD dongle to plug into the car and the option of one free specific manufacturer download for your android device. You can add other manufacturers for approx £20 each. Obviously I picked Renault. Very impressed with what it can do regards codes and live data. It can even code new key's.
For the Freelander I have an old laptop the only has a clean copy of Windows XP and a copy of JLR IDS/SDD v131 and a Mongoose lead. The SDD I purchased from ' diagnostictools' via eBay for £14, they do however have newer versions now.
To be honest I find the Autel easier to use. Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !
Now retired so it doesn't matter anymore.
Freelander now gone.

Foxwell tools are quite decent with free lifetime updates. If you want one for all systems, all makes, have a look at this one. 30% off at the moment.

Due to Brexit the total amount in 'Basket', you may need to add Duty and 20% VAT when importing to the UK.
