I bought a cable and software from a site called British Diagnostics. Complete rubbish, would not work and after one email from the company they ignored me. I got my £99 back only by using Paypals returns system.

I have now just bought a VXDIAG VCX NANO from ebay. EBay item number:233064378977.
I bought from this seller because, unlike most he is uk based.
When the item arrived the software cd was blank but the seller very quickly pointed me to a download site.
All set up now and working now. Note you need WINDOWS 7. But that is easy using a VM.

All seems to work as advertised using SDD I can see and clear fault codes plus read the advice to fix any faults. I have used it to enable "trailer module" which is handy as I have fitted a towbar and tow regularly. Also used it to enable the dipping mirrors on reverse selection, plus it updated the car software.

Well worth the £77.70, the stealer would have charged me that much just to enable trailer module.

This sounds good! do you happen to know if it will do throttle body calibration?

Not tried it but, as it uses the same SDD software that the dealer uses, I would expect that it would calibrate the throttle body.

Thanks Paul

I might be wrong but it reported there was a software update, it then went online and downloaded software then installed it to the car.

That’s very interesting, I had presumed that it was off line only , so maybe those of us blessed with older cars that have probably never seen a main dealer since the warranty ran out would benefit.

I think it’s worth a punt at that price... I’ve probably wasted more on worse Smile

Regards Paul
