Flat tyre over the weekend , and while had wheel off had a quick peek at the handbrake shoes. Not good! Looks like they're pushing against the sides of the drum and wearing away nicely. Would explain the couple of point drop in MPG and barely any handbrake!

Clean and grease the adjuster,I put the sliding bracket on the wire wheel and greased it up before refitting .the springs and cups took a bit of fitting,easier with two pair of hands.good luck.bob |
