We’re probably all guilty of thinking our car is worth more than it is.

Cars like mine are going on main dealer sites for BIG money. I appreciate that they will give warranties.

Is it on a 62 plate or 13 plate?

An HSE Luxury on a 62 plate typically averages £14000, on a 13 plate £14500, Dynamic slightly less (only slightly)

My neighbour trades in low to medium price used vehicles and would offer circa £12800 to buy, with a view to Retail forecourting it for around £14995. What have they offered you to trade out of?

It’s on a 13 plate.

Basically I’m getting 13650 from trade but........... it’s all machinations- trade both ends against the middle so it’s all smoke and mirrors. I thought I could do better??

If it doesn’t sell I’ll bite the bullet but I’m giving it a try.

Normally I just trade but it’s a bit easier in this day and age to try and sell it privately.

I suppose the big thing for me is that I’ve really looked after this car and I will be sorry to see it go but I def need a smaller car.

My suggestion would be to look at webuyanycar.com and wewantanycar.com, then evanshalshaw.com, and add £1k to the best average price that those three combined offer.

I know what you mean about trading it, which is why I'll run mine til it falls to bits. Traders won't take any options into account, which is why you would be better off trying to sell privately.

The buying/selling prices seem quite realistic. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
