Battery light on and throttle inop when starting

Hello has anyone know this issue before? I started my car last night to move it, put it in drive it obviously moved being an auto but the accelerator pedal did nothing and the battery light was on. The light turned off a few seconds later and everything was normal. It hasn't come on again. Any suggestions?

Hi this happened to me but it was my own fault I hit the start button before the car had a chance to run through its pre start check it only did it the one time in four years of owning. Understeer when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower how fast you hit the wall.
Torque how far you take the wall with you.

Had it happen from time to time with my MY10 auto. Always involved switching off and restarting to achieve normal service and once or twice, various error messages that went away following restart. Only ever seem to happen if reversing out of a parking space into a bit of a traffic flow Surprised

Yep, common. I used to get it if I jumped in, started up and put it in gear too quickly. Wife said that was typical of me! What did she mean? Whistle Laughing Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Happen EVERY time our car is started, apart from the first start of the day...and I have tried quite a lot and spent some good money trying to trace the problem and have quite a few indies and electronic experts baffled.
