I guess HMRC would argue that they could set up a DD to put the money aside before the VED is due. But I agree it feels like the government is deliberately penalising those people with less income. Jules

What a complete dog's dinner the current VED scheme is - utter garbage. Whoever thought that scheme up and whoever signed it off needs Censored
Come to think of it, in recent years we have enjoyed a torrent of garbage from Government Ministers...…. Are serial misjudgements compulsory for those in high office nowadays?

in a word YES !

I work for another government department, Network Rail, as part of the telecoms engineering planning process and most days I am sickened, shocked, appalled, disgusted, bemused etc etc etc by some of the utterly Censored planning and the decisions made by senior management. it seems to be the preferred way for anything government led.
