The battery has had its day then I wonder if this is anything to do with the window problem ?

No, the battery is about a year old and is good. I have also charged it to be sure. Don't forget the windows work fine with the original unit replaced. Thanks anyway.

So a bit of digging, for pre face lift prefix of 6G9T then the following seems to be true;
Ex suffix - Driver Door
Kx suffix - Passenger Door
Bx suffix - Rear Door

Seems to be the same for 7G9T as well.

Thanks Vanny. I have now ordered a used unit with exactly the same part number as mine. I'll let you know how I get on. Should be interesting!

Battery shouldn’t be flat after two days.

The used Control Unit arrived yesterday. I fitted it and everything is back to normal - locking is normal and the LH windows and mirror are also good. Moral of the story is, don't necessarily believe the new parts are the correct ones. These units do not appear to be compatible pre and post face lift. Many thanks to Vanny for pointing me in the right direction, saved me a fortune! Thumbs Up

PS Any one after a post face lift rear LH door Control Unit let me know!
