Should one mention "knob upgrade" and "anticlimax" in the same thread? Shocked No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

Look what I found on AliExpress
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/c90CzoBr

This is the specific ones I bought which was the best price I could find and can vouch for the quality of the itemđź‘Ť

These are available for the RRS SVR and L405 Autobiography at around a 1500% mark up from JLR only difference I can see is that the same box has no LR branding.

You will need to run a 10.5mm drill bit inside the bore of the knob as it has a locator lug to stop it spinning on the L405 &
L494 shaft whereas the Freelander 2, D3, D4, RRS etc use a fine spline fitment. Once you’ve removed the lug inside the bore it simply slides over the shaft. To prevent it from spinning I just applied a small amount of epoxy resin, job done and the pics don’t do justice to how good it looks.

If your not “handy” you can purchase ones specially modified to fit the spline setup on the Freelander 2, D3, D4 RRS from a well known UK supplier at around 4 times the price but they’ve removed the chrome shaft which I didn’t like as you can still see the original shaft rather than the chrome passing directly into the arm rest.

As far as it being an “anticlimax” can assure you it looks great in real life and still have a couple more mods in the pipeline more on tha/those shortlyđź‘Ť MY15
