Hi Casper,
I carried out this mod to my 2007 GS. The connectors on the later DRL headlights are different to the earlier headlights. I used the cable adaptors that a company in York supplied. Adrian Cameron of Cameron GT Autos supplied these and was very helpful. They are around £250. You can do this without changing the bumper. Have a look in my gallery. I did subsequently update the bumper as well. They are still available on ebay.

£250 quid !!!!!

I did the lamp change on my 2009.

But, being a true engineer, I didn't change the connectors, I didn't pay for a 'link' ............. I changed the internal wiring of the lamp housing. It did take a bit of time ........ well worth it.

There is always 'another way'

That's the problem with Engineers, ask two Engineers, you'll get at least three solutions. Mr. Green Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Yes, and like dogs, they have a smart look, but they don't know how to express themselves.
Therefore the hard to understand or not at all DIYs... Laughing Laughing

There are three types of people in the world, those that can do maths and those that can't. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

The site member, Wytonpjs made his own adapter sets - thread here. http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic16893.htm...headlights. It was not without trial and tribulation though.

Member Jim_NI also got into a DIY conversion to drl/sig headlamps. May be worth searching for too.

Neither appear to post these days.

I got my LED DRL lights delivered today Very Happy and they look great.

so as on previous threads where Halogen was suggested to be a bit on the dim side I swapped the main bulbs out for OSRAM Night breakers to help.

Also got my upgrade kit from Cameron GT Autos on ebay Thumbs Up . This really is a good well made kit with easy installation instructions and pics for us junior or semi retired engineers. Very Happy. May be a bit pricey but not when start adding up all the components in the kit and the time taken to figure out the wiring and fitting all the cables together Confused can i be bothered these days when somebody else has done it Exclamation No way got better things to do Whistle

So just waiting for a dry day as converted my garage to a plush office Neutral which has downside in the winter when you want to mess with car and will change them over, i think the trickiest bit is inserting the additional pin 8 in the old loom connector but needed to look at the connector and it is dark now. The earth strap and new fuse connections are easy as the kit is complete with DRL and LED Components connectors etc Thumbs Up FL2 2008 150K
