External hard drive in FL2

I currently listen to my music via a USB stick in the slot in the covered box between the front seats. Can I use an external hard drive instead. I only want something about 60/80gb. I believe these may need power to work and I don’t think the usb connection in the FL2 will do this. Any help appreciated.

There is power available from the USB sockets otherwise you couldn't charge your phone or even power a USB stick. A 2.5 inch external drive in a proper enclosure usually works off normal USB power and if you have a spare SSD in there they take even less power. You might have an issue with a very large drives though as the FL2 might not recognise it. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
