You got it all wrong!

You phone, better still write a letter, to the Ralf Speth, you might not quite get to him, but you will get answers working from this direction!

I've done this with similar companies selling "used floor mats" or electricity, works a treat!

& they don't do proper coffee anyway!

could be worse

When looking for a used DS auto the list was easy - not black, not white not grey (red would be best), don't want blacked out windows, needs dark interior with white roof lining, don't want stupid wheels (not 19" or larger), She wants sun roof, has to have heated screen and satnav, spare wheel would be good - less than £30k and less than 50k miles ...... easy

So why did we end up spending hours driving to see "the perfect car sir" - black edition, with blacked out indows, black roof trim, 20" rims and £35k+ - several dealers had us drive miles to look at totaly in appropriate cars despite the fairly specific requirements, we trawled seven dealerships over 3 weekends, looking at ANYTHING to replace the Ewok, and yes I did nearly buy a FL2 again, but the resistance put up by the wife had to be seen to be believed. She wanted something "more modern".

Then again we ended up with a grey car, with blacked out windows, no spare wheel and nowhere to fit one, and paying £33k - I still looking longingly at every red/orange DS that we pass. Shocked Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Be careful she is only 4' 10" tall but she does pack a mean punch - the wife not the car.

Got to agree the FL2 is a much nicer car to look at, and the last of the proper working Land Rovers for my money.

But I don't miss the 27mpg compared to the 37mpg of the DS - and I would appreciate no-one mentioning the adblue and oil dilution issues. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

Then the obvious choice was a Freelander where one sits higher! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

A wise man once told me "there are battles you can win and battles you must win, learn to know the difference".

The battle over the Freelander was one I was not going to win, and to be honest I was going to buy a Kia/Hyundai rather than continue to drive the Ewok, so the DS seemed like a good compromise. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her

My mechanic had a Hyundai in the workshop with the entire steering column out & half the dashboard due to a $20 plastic part for the steering. He said it was a common failure just outside of warranty! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
