knocking noise from the back

Had my freelander 2 back in to the garage again
there was a knocking noise from the back when it is on full lock. they said it was the diff oil that needed replacing which they have done. On collecting it was told that it may take a few days to settle down and the knocking will go once the diff oil has reached all areas. The freelander has done 82,000 miles has anybody else had this or is there answer all bull s##t

That's rubbish.
Get the rear dampers(shock absorbers) checked.
Had a very bad knocking on mine when I first had it - only on lock with power down.
Eventually the supplying garage believed me and fitted a new damper - problem solved.

Well new Haldex pump fitted and new oil in the diff still got the clunking noise when on full lock and slow moving i.e. in a car park . Harrats have been great but it's back into them again next Monday.

They may have changed the pump, but did they change the filter? Land Rover say that the Haldex is sealed for life but Volvo and other users of the same technology change oil and filters much more frequently. If the pump is pushing through or pulling from a blocked filter it’s not going to do it’s job which is to control the Haldex clutch plates. Saying that, if it’s dampers, bushes, or worse, the front transfer box, playing with the Haldex is just a waste of time and money.

Just wondering whether this was ever sorted out as I have the same problem with my 30k mileage 64 plate Metropolis which is booked in with an independent on 26 February. Clunking noise on full right & left lock under power.
