United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Zermatt Silver

To the OP... I also came to a FL2 from a Focus ST Cool Thumbs Up

I do miss the ST, but not the fuel bills or the points I accrued on my license! It was a nice affair whilst it lasted. Performance Blus ST3.

Hope that like me you're enjoying the Freelander anyway. Shame the snow's gone eh?!

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Izmir Blue

Hi There,
I have just bought a Freelander 2 6 weeks ago, and is all new to me this 4x4 stuff, i nearly ditched the car in the snow and ice last tuesday morning, so i wonder what i was doing wrong, i had terrain response on snow setting, was that correct?? car was no better than my old citroen C5 estate going down same road in same conditions...

Help appreciated

Regards

Stewart

Second that.

The Freelander is a fair amount of mass on the snow/ice. Its stopping abilities are similar to many other non 4wd vehicles.

You were going down a hill?

Use ice programme, and even HDC to stop gaining too much speed if it's a steep hill.

What are the tyres like? Just had a new set fitted yesterday, and the difference in this weather was very noticeable.

Hi All,
thx for replys, as for driving to fast i dont think i was driving any faster than in my previous car, but that would have been much lighter, it was on the flat not down hill, maybe need to drive slower than before due to the extra mass.

thanks again

Stewart
