Agree with you Axle, tried it in the past and swimming costume free makes so much sense you wonder why it isn't the norm. Same for using a sauna or steam room why would you want to wear anything then!

Sadly CG think I'd be classed as one of the uglies - promise I won't bring my caravan and camp naked on your land thou

Turns out there is an event near me planned for this coming Friday morning - might brave it if I can get away from work.

My limited experience shows it isn't at all sinister - I sort of understand what you mean though.
I think its the formalizing (thru BN or similar) of something as normal as being naked - cant really comment on British Naturism directly (know little about them) but my experiences have been away from formal clubs etc and I think maybe all the better for it.

Maybe it's something you need to try for yourself to understand it - tempted?
