I haven't replaced mine.

Why do you think that you need a new one? Is there a hole in the old one?

Here is a link about on the Volvo board about AC related problems.

Good Luck

Yes I have done it ......................................It is easy you just need to remove the bumper to gain access.

Mr p_gill I hit a deer and damaged the intercooler. With that off I noticed the bottom of the AC condenser and the coolant rad didn't look good with rotten bottom fins . So I replaced all three and the hoses. Easy to do and shall we say affordable. The car is eight years old. Fortunatly the only other damage was a pushed in Fog Lamp which I glued back

Mr Chips,

That makes sense

The link to the Volvo board that I shared above was a problem with the desiccant

It’s always nice to know what can go wrong ahead of time

Thanks

Paul

Finally replace it, garage told me that there is leakage in the ac condenser and needs to be replaced
SYmptom was, AC was not cold immediately and needs 5-10 minutes to get cool, if the car is not moving the ac is getting warm

1. step 1

2. step 2

3. step 3

Make sure to remove AC gas first! before unplug the AC high/low line
Make sure to immediately put refrigerant oil on new AC condenser hole
Remove old ac condenser and install new one with oil

4. step 4 (reinstall back everything)

5. re-gas the AC
Now it takes second to get AC cool and even car is idle it's fine, the car is still cooling
I use nissen AC Condenser
