Automatic transmission fill plug location

Everyone,

A Freel2 member asked me about the location and I thought that I would share my solution with the team.

Please add any suggestions you might have.

This is just how I do it, it’s not the only way

The pictures are for a 3.2

It may be slightly different for the Diesel

The fill plug can be seen in the eighth picture, its in the center of the picture

I can’t get my hands in there so I use a second extension with a magnet to grab the fil plug

As for the tightening torque I only use about 4 ft * lbs

Good luck

Paul

Thanks Paul, so it does come out from above. Cramped! If you haven't done so, I'll try getting in via the wheelarch liner. Prob still need to loosen it from above but perhaps there's more access from the side to remove/refit the plug.
